Finding a Reputable Supplement

In a time where health and wellness is greatly talked about, many companies try to hop on the trend and can advertise bold, unrealistic claims. Now more than ever it is important to check what you are putting into your body - supplements included!

When shopping for a supplement, look for a Certificate of Analysis (COA). These are important indicators of quality. Also, read the ingredients list just like you would any other food. In addition to the vitamin, mineral, adaptogen, or protein you are looking for, there should only be 3-4 "other" ingredients that you can also recognize. 

If you are unsure where to purchase a quality supplement, I recommend designs for health. I love to work with the designs for health team because they are a company I trust. As always, check with your Doctor or Health Coach to make sure you are getting the most bioavailable form of the nutrient needed, especially when there is a documented deficiency.

  • Healthy snack choices that we have available ahead of time can keep us from grabbing things without thinking or foraging through the pantry for anything quick
  •  Do remember to keep this your own and make adjustments so that it works for you. For example, Dinnerbell has many options. I have chosen these for their healthy ingredients, portion sizes to feed a family of 2-3+ and the ability to create leftovers hopefully. Sometimes the dinner was so yummy more gets eaten than I planned. 
  • You might want something different for breakfast and might have your own overnight oats or quick no-cook options.
